Daniel Craig, aka the man with the license to kill, has just auctioned off two prized rides from his personal garage: the Triumph Scrambler 1200 Bond Edition and Tiger 900 Bond Edition. At Bonhams’ Stafford Sale this October, these beauties fetched an impressive £60,000 combined, with every pound going straight to the Royal National Lifeboat Institution (RNLI).
These aren’t just any Triumphs – they’re the bikes featured in No Time to Die, with Craig’s own name on the papers, and personally signed by the man himself. But this was about more than bikes and Bond memorabilia; all proceeds went to the RNLI, a charity dedicated to saving lives at sea. The charity is close to Craig’s heart, thanks to his roots near the coast and his time spent with RNLI crew members.
The bikes themselves are iconic. The Scrambler 1200 Bond Edition roars with an 89-horsepower engine and tech goodies like ride-by-wire control and cornering ABS, while the Tiger 900 Bond Edition brings an 888cc engine and all the kit you’d expect from a bike worthy of 007. Triumph only made 250 of each, and they sold out faster than you can say “shaken, not stirred.”
But the winning bidders got more than Bond’s wheels. They also earned a chance to ride with Bond’s legendary stunt team, including Fast Eddie Edmondson, the guy who flew over rooftops in Matera for No Time to Die. Talk about a real-life 007 experience.
In the end, these two bikes brought in £60,000, proving that Bond’s legacy extends well beyond the screen – supporting a cause that saves lives. A fitting tribute from a real-life hero to heroes on the water.
