LOUISE GLOVER: FROM PLAYBOY TO STREET DOGS - AND STILL PACKING A PUNCH

She’s posed for Playboy, smashed it as a fitness icon, and now she’s swapping heels for hiking boots…rescuing dogs, inspiring women, and doing it all while battling the housing crisis. Louise Glover might be down, but don’t think for a second she’s out.

She was the first British model to grace the pages of Playboy USA, she's still got abs most of us would kill for, and now she's channelling her energy into changing lives—both human and canine. We caught up with the unstoppable Louise Glover, who proves that even when life throws you a serious curveball, you don’t throw in the towel.

Forget your influencer fakes and gym bunnies with filters, Louise is the real deal. And if her current fight through Britain’s brutal rental market has knocked her, she’s not showing it. She’s out here training clients, rescuing pups, and still dreaming big…

A Q&A with Louise Glover

If you could pick anyone in the world to train and transform, who would it be?
Ooh! Ariana Grande. She’s so talented, and I’d love to see her become a true health and fitness role model for her massive fanbase as she's currently thin and I feel she would really benefit from some extra muscle and curves. Imagine the ripple effect that could have.

We heard you're a dog lover—got a favourite breed?
Honestly, I love all dogs. But lately, I’ve totally fallen for English cocker spaniels. They’re full of life, super loving, cute as hell, and you see them bounding about the countryside like little legends.

Most underrated city you’ve ever been to?
Guatemala City, hands down. It’s a real hidden gem—volcanoes, lakes, culture bursting out of every street, and the people are just beautiful inside and out.

Alright, we’re starving—what’s your go-to food?
I’m all about exploring different cultures through food. I love Egg Hoppers from Sri Lanka, Moroccan chicken tagine cooked in clay pots, and I’ll never say no to a fresh mango ice cream from Peru. I’m a total foodie.

Who’s your dream man?
Easy—Henry Cavill. That sexy English accent, those looks, and he’s a solid actor too. Total Superman vibes, obviously.

THE SERIOUS BIT…

You’ve been open about becoming homeless—how did it happen?
It hit last summer. I’ve always privately rented in shared houses, but when rent prices skyrocketed, my landlord hiked it up to extortionate levels. My work slowed down—personal training, dog walking, sports massage—it all took a hit. I’m self-employed, and when people have to tighten their belts, it’s services like mine that get cut. I’m just trying to find a way to bounce back.

Tell us about the incredible work you’re doing with dogs and homelessness.
I’ve teamed up with Dogs Trust to help re-home long-term shelter dogs—those beautiful souls that keep getting overlooked. I’m also supporting a new project called “Together Through Homelessness,” which keeps rough sleepers and their dogs together. It’s heartbreaking how many people won’t go into shelters because they can’t bring their dogs.

What do you want people to understand about homelessness?
It’s not always what people think. You can be homeless and still look “normal” or dress well. I get comments like “you don’t look homeless”—but there are levels to it. Some people are on the streets, others are couch surfing, sleeping in cars or tents. It’s stressful, it’s exhausting, and it plays havoc with your mental health. The public needs to understand and stop judging by appearance.

How have you stayed healthy while living out of a tent or your car?
Honestly, I’ve had migraines daily and anxiety attacks—it’s been brutal. But I’ve pushed myself to walk 10–15k steps a day and hit the gym 3–4 times a week if I can. Eating clean is a nightmare without a kitchen. I survive on water, meal deals, and when I do dog-sitting gigs I prep food for a few days ahead. But it's been the hardest time of my life for staying consistent. I need a stable space soon, for both my body and my brain.

FINAL WORD

Louise Glover might be navigating a personal storm, but she’s doing it with more grit, grace, and gumption than most. Whether she’s inspiring us to crush a workout, finding a forever home for a rescue dog, or just making it through another week with nowhere to call her own, she’s proof that resilience looks damn good in a pair of trainers.

So if you’re reading this in your warm house, with a takeaway on the way, maybe give her a follow and share her story. Because Louise isn’t just a survivor—she’s a bloody inspiration.
