Manage Your Mojo

The Iron Remedy MD Giving a Much Needed T Boost to Millions of Men
Manage Your Mojo

- By Danni Levy

Fraser Burns, 53, knows all too well what it’s like to deal with low testosterone. So when Mike Tyson decided to launch his own telemedicine company focused on regenerative medicine, Fraser was the man to help get it off the ground. Now, it’s one of the most trusted TRT clinics out there for blokes looking to get their mojo back.

“Low testosterone is a problem for so many men,” says Fraser. “Your levels decrease about 1% per year as you start reaching the age of 30. About 33% of men over the age of 40 suffer from low testosterone.”

That’s where Iron Remedy MD comes in. It’s a medical practice dedicated to helping men at any stage in life keep their testosterone levels where they should be. Through proper lab tests, doctor consultations, and medication delivered straight to your door, it’s an easy and legit way to sort yourself out.

This kind of service is growing in popularity, especially since telemedicine took off after COVID.

“We take blood work and we test for total testosterone, free testosterone, and estradiol levels,” Fraser explains. “Our doctors then prescribe injectable testosterone or topical testosterone depending on the clinical need of the patient. It's a unique process that means we can start helping more and more people around the world and maximise their well-being.”

Fraser breaks it down: the so-called “normal” range for testosterone is between 300 and 1000.

“When you're 18 years old, you start off at about 1000 and it starts decreasing about 1% per year from the age of 30,” he says. “By the time a male reaches his 50s, the range is typically going to be between 215 and 800.

"I've been on testosterone since I was 45. I felt I needed to get treated due to a lack of energy. I was fatigued, had decreased endurance, I didn't sleep well, I had some unwanted weight gain, decreased motivation, depression, mood swings, the lot. Men tend to think, ‘Well, I'm getting older, I'm just going to have these symptoms for the rest of my life, it's just going to happen,’ but that doesn’t have to be the case.”

The idea that blokes just have to put up with feeling knackered, weak, and sluggish as they age is a load of rubbish.

“These symptoms are quite often potentially a byproduct of low testosterone,” says Fraser. “So when you boost your testosterone levels back to where they should be, you're going to have more energy, added muscle tone, decreased belly fat, a sharper memory, and improved sleep, which is something Mike Tyson talks a lot about.”

To be clear, Iron Remedy MD isn’t about dodgy gear from the gym or some bloke flogging vials out the back of his car.

“This is not buying medication from the gym, this is not buying medication from your friend on the corner, this is a clinical programme medically tailored to the individual,” says Fraser.

“The doctor looks at your blood panel, and they determine your needs based on that, plus an in-person interview.”

Iron Remedy MD isn’t a one-and-done type of service, either. It’s proper medical oversight.

“I get my blood work done every three months, which we do at Iron Remedy MD. We don't just take your blood work once, put you on medication, and set it and forget it. This is a clinical based programme and you can talk to your doctor or our patient care team weekly.”

One thing to bear in mind: testosterone treatment is a long-term commitment.

"It is something that is going to be a long-term commitment because as soon as you stop your testosterone injections, you're going to go back down to where you were before,” says Fraser. “You're going to start feeling a lack of energy again, fatigue, body aches, and possible weight gain again. So as soon as you stop it, you go back to your depleted level. If you maintain your newly set level over your life, you’re going to have more energy, more muscle mass, better sleep, better libido, and you're going to have an improved quality of life over time. And as you get older, be prepared to increase medication.”

Like anything, there are potential side effects, but nothing that can’t be managed.

“As with any medication, there are potential side effects,” says Fraser. “Some patients see water weight gain, leading to increased bulkiness. The reason, for example, I bring mine down to about 650 to 700 is because at that level, I don't build that water weight, I don't feel bloated. By adjusting the levels accordingly, we can negate these side effects. It's not like, if you start a testosterone programme, tomorrow you’re going to turn into a balloon. Things can be adjusted.”

The usual horror stories about testosterone side effects tend to come from blokes who are abusing it.

“Side effects that typically come with testosterone injections usually affect people like bodybuilders who overuse the medication,” explains Fraser. “With Iron Remedy MD, we're talking about micro dosing, and the side effects are mitigated, because it's not a large dose.”

And the cost? About $200 in the US, which covers everything—blood tests, consultations, and a home-delivered supply of medication. The service will soon be available in the UK and wider global market.

“The goal is to help as many men as possible treat low testosterone. And that's Mike's vision and Mike's passion,” says Fraser.
