Suede: sci-fi lullabies vol.2  ⭐⭐⭐⭐

An Unearthed Dreamscape of Glamour and Grit.

This collection of 19 singles & B-sides from the period 1997 to 2023 is being exclusively released for Record Store Day. It also includes a new track, Blinded.

Let’s face it; Suede’s B-sides are better than most bands’ singles. The original Sci-Fi Lullabies was packed with the usually dreamy, glammed-up misery and the kind of poetic sleaze only Brett Anderson could croon effectively.

Vol.2 sees Suede going full nocturnal. It's moody, murky, and occasionally a bit mental, like a lost soundtrack to a film about sex, death, and bus shelters in Croydon.

It’s a bit rough around the edges, sure. Some songs sound like they were recorded in a broom cupboard on a hangover. But that’s part of the charm.

So if you like your music with a side of drama and your glamour a bit grubby, Vol. 2 is your jam. Stick it on the turntable, and get lost in the beautiful gloom.
