CAT BURNS: How To Be Human ⭐⭐⭐⭐

Cat Burns has taken the keys, opened up her heart and let it pour out over 16 tracks of pop-soul confession, hurt, hope and rebuilding. She’s clearly been going through a lot, and it shows. She’s wrestling with what it means to be human.
Burns’s voice remains one of her strongest assets: warm, honest, grounded in her South London roots rather than some generic pop façade. She’s got a knack for turning real emotions into hooks you’ll hum unwillingly. The production and arrangements at times feel a little too compliant to modern pop formulas, but the emotional core is strong.
If you’re after a pop album that lays its guts on the table and tries to speak to where real people are, this is worth your time.
A solid, heartfelt, and compelling album.
