If you’re game for trying something new, the Yorkshire food makers have created a limited-edition Pork, Strawberry & Black Pepper sausage that’s perfect for picnicking on the hill or enjoying with a glass of fizz or Pimms.
Made with ‘deucey’ 85% British pork shoulder, black pepper seasoning, strawberries and strawberry jam, the new gluten-free summer sausage got juices flowing in the Loaded lab.
HECK’s Jamie Keeble says: “We’ve matched some winning sweet and savoury flavours in this new sausage to celebrate Wimbledon. Strawberries are the ultimate summer fruit and pair well with the pork. Add to that a touch of strawberry jam and a crack of black pepper, and you’ve got the grand slam of the sausage world to serve up at the BBQ.”

The Loaded verdict: These sausages are meaty, juicy and full of flavour. The hint of strawberry compliments the pork really nicely. We usually whack the ketchup on, but felt they didn’t need sauce. The black pepper comes through nicely too. Would definitely stock up the office fridge with these all-year-round. Match point.
