Adidas SPZL x C.P. Company

Adidas SPZL and C.P. Company have come together once more, launching a new collaborative collection that fuses classic Italian design with the distinctly British terrace culture that SPZL champions. This release marks the 10th anniversary of adidas SPZL, which has consistently drawn from adidas’s rich archive, and follows the pair’s successful 2021 partnership celebrating C.P. Company’s 50th anniversary. The upcoming launch includes exclusive apparel, footwear, and accessories and releases to the public on November 12, 2024.

This collection expands on the earlier Italia CP SPZL trainer, one of the most highly sought-after collaborations between the two brands. The latest offerings in footwear include six SPZL silhouettes, each crafted with a nod to adidas’s legacy and reinterpreted through C.P. Company’s distinct design language. Highlights include the CP Wimberly SPZL, inspired by an ’80s Canadian version of the adidas Universal, and offered in two premium material versions. Additionally, the CP Helvellyn SPZL and the CP SL 83 SPZL bring outdoor functionality with rugged materials, while the CP Manchester SPZL and CP Italia SPZL revisit iconic designs in fresh, upscale details.

The collection's apparel selection reimagines notable styles from both brands’ archives, including standout outerwear pieces like the CP SPZL Puffer Jacket and CP SPZL Flying Jacket. These jackets integrate elements of Italian craftsmanship with flatt nylon construction and the signature C.P. Company lens detail. The capsule also features pieces like the Mod Trefoil-inspired half-zip knit and the iconic C.P. Company sailor graphic on sweatshirts and tees, celebrating the early influences of both brands.

Rounding out the collection are accessories that continue the blend of form and function, including a side bag, two caps, and gloves—all designed to reflect the crossover between the two brands' aesthetics.

The release campaign features a short film directed by Nick Griffiths and shot by acclaimed photographer Kevin Cummins. The film includes performances by familiar figures in UK culture, including Ashley Walters, Stephen Graham, and Goldie, who showcase the collection in a series of scenes that capture the ethos of camaraderie and authenticity.

An early-access pre-sale event will be held on November 11 at adidas’s Originals Carnaby Flagship Store, featuring an exclusive screening of the campaign film and a DJ set by Conducta. The adidas SPZL x C.P. Company collection will be available through Confirmed and select retailers like End clothing, sneakersnstuff & hip on November 12.
