adidas SPZL x END. Celebrate Manchester in a Collection Rich in Culture and Heritage.

Some collaborations are built around hype. Others are built around genuine shared history. The latest partnership between adidas SPZL and END. comfortably falls into the latter, delivering a collection that feels authentic, considered and deeply connected to British culture.

Developed alongside adidas SPZL curator Gary Aspden, the second collaboration with END. celebrates Manchester's enduring influence on music, football and terrace style. Rather than relying on nostalgia alone, the campaign successfully captures a city that continues to evolve while remaining proud of the cultural figures who helped define it.

Featuring Black Grape founders Shaun Ryder and Kermit, photographed by the legendary Jamil GS, the campaign is as much about storytelling as it is about clothing. Ryder and Kermit are natural ambassadors for the collection, bringing credibility to a campaign rooted in the spirit of Manchester without ever feeling forced.

The footwear line-up offers three distinctly different options, each drawing from adidas' rich archive. The New York II Outdoor SPZL gives a fresh take on a classic running silhouette with understated dark grey and teal tones, while the Munchen II SPZL will undoubtedly appeal to terrace wear enthusiasts thanks to its premium soft green pigskin suede construction. Completing the trio is the Lytham SPZL, a refined boat shoe-inspired design that adds something different to the collection without losing its SPZL identity.

The apparel is equally well executed. The return of the sought-after ST-11 Jacket is likely to be the standout piece for many collectors, reimagined in a versatile black colourway with subtle teal accents. Alongside it, the Angelzarke Track Top, Brockhall Tee and Elenshaw Cap round out a collection that feels wearable while remaining true to the SPZL aesthetic.

One of the more interesting additions is the Friends & Family New York II Outdoor SPZL. Available only through a Golden Ticket hidden inside selected footwear boxes, the initiative adds an element of excitement for collectors without overshadowing the main collection itself.

What makes this collaboration particularly successful is its restraint. Rather than chasing current trends, adidas SPZL and END. continue to celebrate craftsmanship, archive design and cultural authenticity. Every piece feels purpose-built, with thoughtful details that reward long-time fans of the SPZL line while remaining accessible to newcomers.

The adidas SPZL x END. collection launches on Friday 17 July 2026 at 8:00am BST and will be available via the END. Launches platform at https://launches.endclothing.com, online at https://www.endclothing.com, and in all END. retail stores. Given the popularity of previous adidas SPZL collaborations, demand is expected to be high, particularly for the Munchen II SPZL, the returning ST-11 Jacket and the exclusive Friends & Family New York II Outdoor SPZL, which can only be obtained through END.'s Golden Ticket initiative.

For anyone with an appreciation for British casual culture, vintage sportswear or Manchester's lasting influence on fashion and music, this is another confident release from adidas SPZL and END. It demonstrates that some of the strongest collaborations are those that tell a genuine story, and this collection does exactly that.
