- By Stewart Lochrie

It's official, lads, the UK is absolutely sizzling today, and there’s only one thing on the agenda: firing up the BBQ, cracking open a cold one, and getting some top-tier meat on the grill. And if you’re looking to upgrade your grill game, Napoleon Grills has just dropped some serious fire for 2025. Whether you're a gas BBQ maestro, a charcoal purist, or an urban warrior with a tiny balcony, there's something for everyone.

PHANTOM PRESTIGE 500 CONNECTED – RRP: £2,599.99

This bad boy isn’t just a BBQ; it’s a precision grilling machine. The matte black finish gives it that stealth fighter look, and it's packed with tech – a 5” LCD screen, ACCU-PROBE thermometer, and six safety glow knobs that light up at night. Oh, and you can control it from your phone via the Napoleon Home app. High-tech grilling, and it even comes with a built-in bottle opener, because priorities.

ROGUE PRO-S SERIES – Prices from £1,299.99

For those who take BBQing seriously, the Rogue PRO-S series is where power meets precision. We’re talking three to six burners, an infrared rotisserie, and a restaurant-quality infrared side burner for perfect searing. Oh, and those knobs? They glow red when the burners are on, so you know exactly what’s happening – even after a couple of beers.

Charcoal Kings – Because Smoke = Flavour

PRO22 Charcoal Cart & PRO22 Charcoal Kettle – RRP: £329.99 / £449.99

Charcoal BBQ lovers, rejoice! These bad boys take airflow and heat control to the next level with a vortex heat management system. They also come rotisserie-ready and have handy temp probe ports. If you’re all about that smoky flavour, these are your new best mates.

City Slickers – Small Space? No Problem!

Travel Q PRO285 Electric with Scissor Stand – RRP: £399.99

Got a tiny balcony but still want to grill like a pro? This electric powerhouse reaches serious heat levels and has space for up to 20 burgers. It’s plug-and-play – no gas, no fuss, just top-notch grilling. Plus, it folds away in seconds when you’re done.

THE ULTIMATE BBQ RECIPE – JUICY STEAKHOUSE BURGERS

Now that your grill’s sorted, here’s the only burger recipe you’ll ever need. Trust me, your mates will be talking about these for weeks.

Ingredients:

  • 500g good quality beef mince (20% fat for ultimate juiciness)

  • 1 tsp salt

  • 1/2 tsp black pepper

  • 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce

  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder

  • 1/2 tsp onion powder

  • 1 tbsp Dijon mustard

  • 2 tbsp cold butter, grated (trust me on this)

  • 4 brioche buns

  • Cheese slices (go big with cheddar or blue cheese)

  • Crispy bacon (optional, but let’s be honest, it’s not really optional)

Method:

  1. Mix everything together gently – don’t overwork the meat! Divide into four thick patties.

  2. Fire up your Napoleon grill to high heat. If using gas, preheat for 10 minutes. If using charcoal, wait till coals are glowing hot.

  3. Grill patties 3-4 mins per side for medium, or longer if you like it well done. Add cheese for the last 30 seconds.

  4. Toast the buns lightly and stack burgers with bacon, sauce, and anything else you fancy.

  5. Smash it down and enjoy with a cold beer.
