Ramsay’s Plane Food Market Lands at Heathrow T5
If you’re among the millions of Brits gearing up to brave Heathrow this festive season all bleary-eyed, overpacked, and praying for a pre-flight pint, then Gordon Ramsay has just handed you the greatest Christmas gift an airport has ever seen.
This month, Gordon Ramsay Restaurants officially unveiled Gordon Ramsay Plane Food Market, a brand-new, market-style dining destination in Heathrow Terminal 5. And it’s not just another overpriced airport eatery, it’s actually a full-throttle celebration of global flavours, fast service, and the kind of culinary swagger only Ramsay could deliver.

Since the original Plane Food opened in 2008, Ramsay has been hell-bent on proving that airport dining doesn’t need to be the culinary equivalent of a delayed flight. Now, with the launch of this evolved concept, Plane Food Market, he doubles down on that mission, and it’s just in time for the great annual December getaway.
Inside this sleek, high-energy space, travellers can roam tasting counters inspired by some of Ramsay’s biggest hitters: Plane Food, Lucky Cat, Gordon Ramsay Fish & Chips, Street Pizza, Street Burger, and Hotter Than Hell. Think of it as a global food hall with Michelin-grade pedigree. It’s an ideal spot, whether you’re flying solo, wrangling kids, or squeezing in a last-minute business trip before the office Christmas party.
Feast your eyes (and hands) on Nigiri, Spicy Tuna Rolls, Bonito Fried Duck Leg Bao, and the signature GFC at the Lucky Cat counter. Craving a proper British feed before you flee the country? Gordon Ramsay Fish & Chips is serving golden cod, the Shrimp Combo, and sauces ranging from curry and mango to sriracha aioli. Burger fiends have the Classic Smash and Chilli Cheese Smash on tap, while pizza lovers can attack the Beef Short Rib Idiot Pizza or the Vegan ’Nduja. Heat chasers can head straight to Hotter Than Hell Wings and pick their pain level… from Umami to Street Hot Sauce.
And yes; the Full English Breakfast, Butter Chicken Curry, and the infamous Idiot Sandwich live on.
With Heathrow expecting 84.2 million passengers in 2025, Ramsay’s timing couldn’t be better. Get in lads!
