Talk to the Dead with Alexa
Amazon's Character.AI. for Alexa lets users converse with bots impersonating celebrities, historical figures, and custom characters for advice and entertainment. Seek holiday ideas from Karl Marx, documentary recommendations from Albert Einstein, or jokes from Jack the Ripper. Explore fitness plans, dating advice, and language learning tips with this new skill.
Struggling for ideas on where to go on holiday this summer? Why not ask Karl Marx for some vacation inspo? Or perhaps you’re looking for something good to watch on the telly tonight? Albert Einstein is great for recommending documentaries that you can pretend you understand. And if you want someone to tell you a joke, ask Jack the Ripper to give you one from his grisly repertoire.
Amazon has now given Alexa users the ability to speak to the dead.
Character.AI. is the newest addition to the Amazon Alexa Skill Store that allows people to chat to a range of bots impersonating celebrities, dead or alive. You can also talk to historical figures such as Joseph Stalin and ask him for tips on maintaining a lustrous moustache, or ask Marie Antoinette for her favourite cake recipe, which is Black Forest cake by the way.
Users can also create their own characters and converse with chatbots that other users have created. Whether you’re looking for stag do destinations, fitness plans, dating advice or how to order a round of drinks in a foreign language, Character.AI. has got your back.
